The Education Research Institute(ERI) at Seoul National University(SNU) invites international academics to join the Seventh International Conference on Education Research(ICER) that will be held November 20 to 21, 2006 in Seoul, Korea.

The SNU ERI ICER is an international conference held annually for the purpose of disseminating and supporting research in education as well as of building academic networks within the Asia-Pacific region. Despite its short history, the SNU ERI ICER has become a special venue for international academics to share educational research outcomes and to discuss core educational issues in the region. Since the year of 2000, more than 400 people from about twenty countries have joined and made discussions about topics such as, ˇ°Reflections and Explorations for Educational Development in the 21st Century: A Search for Asian Identities and Perspectivesˇ± (2000), ˇ°Understanding Educational Issues in the Asia-Pacific Regionˇ± (2001), ˇ°Teacher Education in the Asia-Pacific Region: Current Issues and Future Prospectsˇ± (2002), ˇ°School Curriculum in the Asia-Pacific Region: Current Issues, Prospectsˇ±(2003), ˇ°School Counseling and Guidanceˇ±(2004), and Globalization and Education Reform(2005).

This year, the conference theme, COMPETENCY, HUMAN LEARNING, AND TECHNOLOGY, would offer you chances to consider the various issues and aspects of education reform.
